Decatur Heritage Christian Academy

Since 1995 Decatur Heritage Christian Academy has been providing children in Decatur, AL, and the surrounding area with an excellent education while instilling life-changing Biblical principles. Decatur Heritage combines advanced academics, strong athletic programs, and a non-denominational Christian environment to provide students with a well-rounded educational experience.

As essentially the only school of its kind in the area, gifts from the Building a New Heritage capital campaign will allow construction of a new campus on a 36-acre site at a time when many families in the area, and new to the area, are looking for a great school.

Currently located on only 12 acres and a rapidly degenerating Lower School structure, DHCA knew the time was right to undertake a major fund-raising initiative. Although there were challenges including inexperience and an immature development program, there was no lack of enthusiasm or volunteer campaign support. DHCA just needed an effective playbook to keep them on track, and they found that in the J.F. Smith Group.

Together, DHCA and the J.F. Smith Group have witnessed much success. Aside from the obvious blessing of the total dollars raised, the campaign has positively increased the awareness, both within our current constituency and the broader community, of the great things happening at Decatur Heritage Christian Academy.
