Laura Cobb

Ms. Laura Cobb joined the J.F. Smith Group in February 2010 as assistant vice president and special assistant to the president. In this role, Cobb works with JFSG project managers on their capital campaigns, assisting behind the scenes with the details necessary to ensure campaign success. She also works with JFSG President and CEO Jerry F. Smith on the many facets of his daily responsibilities.

Prior to joining JFSG, Cobb worked as a marketing business analyst for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama for three years. During her time there, Cobb handled the marketing, statistical and cost reporting needs for the Montgomery, Mobile and Huntsville marketing districts. This included assisting company marketing representatives in both ad hoc and standard reporting used to gain new and retain current customers. Cobb generated statistical reporting and graphical reports of cost and utilization and marketing trends used to aid customers in the decision making process.

Cobb graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. degree in business administration, and then a year later she earned her M.B.A. from AU as well.  She earned a 4.0 GPA in both degrees.
