J.F. Smith Group and Mississippi State Athletics Continue Fund-Raising Partnership

In May the J.F. Smith Group conducted an advancement assessment of the Mississippi State Athletic Department's development office. We are now extending that working relationship with an 18-month contract during which the J.F. Smith Group will assist MSU Athletics with the implementation of recommendations made in the assessment report.

Among other action items, the J.F. Smith Group will: facilitate the creation of a strategic fund-raising plan, train the development staff in proven fund-raising techniques, assist the staff in identifying and developing strategies for their major gift prospects, accompany staff on select solicitations to critique their skills, educate staff members on their role in the fund-raising process, electronically screen the department's prospect/donor database, assist in establishing development reports, and develop a case for support for the projects as well as a written proposal that will be used in solicitations.
