Faculty/Staff Participation Key in a Campaign

As a faculty or staff member, a financial commitment to the school's campaign testifies to others that the people closest to the school believe strongly enough in the vision to personally support it with their own funds.

In October, two of the J.F. Smith Group's clients reached 100% financial participation by its faculty and staff members -- Lee Academy in Clarksdale, Mississippi, and Washington School in Greenville, Mississippi.

Lee Academy, a pre-K through 12th grade school, is raising funds in its Building On Excellence capital campaign for academic programs, facility renovations and a new field house for athletics.

Washington School faculty/staff achieved 100% financial participation in the Honor the Legacy - Secure the Future Endowment Campaign in a mere ten days after the faculty/staff appeal was made. The outpouring of support from the faculty/staff at Washington School for the school and the campaign has been overwhelming.  Goals for the endowment fund include faculty compensation in the form of salaries, insurance, and retirement benefits; technology and technological training; and academic enrichment such as expansion of academic and enrichment programs.
