Campaign Milestone Achieved!
We are excited to share that Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia, MS, has surpassed the goal for its first-ever capital campaign, raising an amazing $4.8M (goal: $4.56M)!
One of the standout campaign projects is pictured: The Heindl Center for the Performing Arts. 🎭
But the journey isn't over! Phase 2 fundraising is underway, and Northwest will celebrate this incredible progress at the Campaign Celebration Event in June!
Launched in November 2020, the Investing Today, Impacting Tomorrow campaign will wrap up with a big win by the end of the year!

We are excited to share that our partner – Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, MO – is making great progress on its new Health Science Innovation Center, a project funded in the Lions Forward capital campaign. This “best in class” education and training facility will strengthen the university’s position as a leader in the health sciences and advance collaborative relationships with regional partners. Construction is on schedule and the new facility will be open for the fall semester of 2026.
The Health Science Innovation Center is just one project included in the Lions Forward campaign. After completing a successful feasibility study in 2022 with the J.F. Smith Group, MSSU launched the campaign with an original goal of $31.5 million. That number was achieved in (approximately) the first two years of the five-year campaign! We worked with MSSU on a revised goal and, at the campaign public announcement event in April of 2024, announced a new goal of $42.7 million. As of March 31, 2025, the university has documented gifts totaling $37,861,296. There are still over two years remaining in the Lions Forward campaign – and we are confident they will surpass this increased campaign goal!
Congratulations to all at Missouri Southern State University who have worked diligently on this campaign!
